Mountain biking & eBiking
Enjoyable bike tours, fantastic trails and a varied network of routes in the high alpine side valleys transform the Lechtal into a unique bike arena. For leisure cyclists as well as extreme bikers and all two-wheel enthusiasts for whom cycling and mountains are simply the perfect combination. Guntram, the boss of the hotel, is an enthusiastic e-bike rider himself and always has an insider tip for a cool ride on two wheels ready for you!
The best thing is, if you don’t want to bring your own bike, you can make use of our bike rental service. Reserve a bike with us by 14:00 and it will be ready for you the next day (for a fee)
Lechtal Active Card - your "All in One" card
As an “all-in-one” guest card, the Lechtal Aktiv Card offers you an attractive range of leisure, sport, nature and culture. True to the motto “everything is possible”, it opens the door to summer diversity – because the Lechtal Active Card is already included in your vacation at Stearawirt’s Hauserei! From summer mountain railroads and hiking buses to outdoor pools, you can use many leisure activities free of charge or at reduced prices. This makes the small card a big hit, especially for families!
Lechweg
On the Lechweg long-distance hiking trail, you can accompany one of Austria’s last wild rivers on its journey through unique mountain landscapes. In eight stages, the route runs from the source of the Lech at Lake Formarin over a distance of around 125 kilometers to the Lech Falls in Füssen, Bavaria. As an official Lechweg host, we are well prepared for your needs as a Lechweg hiker. So you can expect extra comfort after every stage. Incidentally, the Lechweg leads directly past Stearawirt’s Hauserei.

Dizzyingly beautiful and breathtaking at the same time: the suspension bridges in the Lech Valley are among the most spectacular excursion destinations in Tyrol. Highline179 – The bridge between heaven and earth
The famous Highline179 near Reutte is one of the longest pedestrian suspension bridges in the world. At a height of 114 meters, you float above the Ehrenberg castle world – a goosebump moment that is rewarded with an all-round panoramic view of the Tyrolean mountains.
Holzgau suspension bridge – a classic in the heart of the Lech Valley
The Holzgau suspension bridge spans 200 meters over the Höhenbachtal gorge. It is part of the popular Lechweg trail and a must-see for hikers, photographers and families. In winter, it is framed by glistening snowy landscapes, while in summer the fresh sound of the stream beneath your feet beckons.
